Transport Systems (Western) Ltd was established in 1980 providing vehicle hire and fleet management solutions to businesses across the UK. Twelve years ago we moved to our purpose built premises on the Lynx Trading Estate where we operate from a large workshop which includes an approved body shop, both featuring the very latest equipment.
We are professionals in long term rentals where any make of vehicle can be supplied, whether it be cars or commercials and any contract can be tailor made to meet the customer’s specific requirements.
Maintenance
Maintenance contracts are also available which offer customers peace of mind proving that our technical team will deal with any problematic vehicles.

Meet the Team
John Nicholas
Managing Director
John was instrumental in starting up Transport Systems in 1980 and has built up an extensive knowledge of the motor business trade over that time. The longevity of the Company has helped us to achieve a loyal and extensive group of customers.
Joe Ledger
Vehicle Sales Director
Started work as a technician with Saab in 1984, moving to commercial selling in 1988 with Vauxhall where his 30 year selling career took off. He moved to Mercedes in 1992 where he stayed for 24 years, joining Transport Systems as Commercial Sales Manager in 2016, branching out to acquire and sell any model of vehicle.
Tam Fishenden
Company Secretary
Has worked for Transport Systems for 25 years and is a highly knowledgeable and experienced Accountant. She works closely with the Managing Director in all aspects of the company’s financial operations.
Emma Pound
Fleet Administrator
Has worked in the motor industry for 26 years, specialising in car body repairs and insurance. Highly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of administration, problem solving and the motor trade as a whole.
Hannah Smith
Accounts
Has worked in administration and accounts in the motor trade for 12 years, working at a local car rental agency before joining Transport Systems in 2011. Highly experienced administrator.
Jonathan Hann
Workshop Supervisor
Commenced with Transport Systems as an apprentice in 1987 and is now Workshop Manager some 30 years later with overall responsibility of the workshop and all mechanics.
Robin Lucas
Technician
Served his apprenticeship with Volkswagen and has extensive experience with Toyota, Nissan & Daewoo. He has also worked with AA on patrol and has been with Transport Systems since 2012.
Anthony MacNewman
Technician
Took work experience with Motec 2000 in Yeovil, followed by constant local employment with independent garages over a period of 30 years where he gained experience in all mechanical work, panel beating and welding.
